Simplify & Shift

Create breathing room. Get things working.

Simplify & Shift helps small businesses and overwhelmed humans create clarity, order, and systems that make life easier.

Whether your inbox is out of control, your business processes live in your head, or your home needs a reset —

we'll figure out what's not working and create something you can actually maintain.

1. Something isn't working.

Maybe your business is growing and your systems haven't caught up.

Maybe your inbox is overflowing, your files are a mess, or too much of your business lives in your head.

Maybe your home feels cluttered, your schedule is overwhelming, you're navigating a move or life transition, or you're simply tired of spending so much energy keeping everything together.

Sometimes you know exactly what needs to change. Sometimes you just know something has to change.

2. Let's figure out what's getting in the way.

We look at the moving pieces, identify what's creating friction, and decide what actually needs to change.

No judgment. No one-size-fits-all system. No expectation that you should have it all figured out.

Just a fresh set of human eyes, a practical perspective, and a place to start.

3. Simplify.

We create practical systems, structure, and space that make everyday life easier to manage.

That might mean documenting how your business works, creating a workflow, cleaning up an inbox or digital files, organizing a workspace, resetting a room, getting your home paperwork under control, or creating systems that actually fit the way your family lives.

The goal isn't perfection.

It's making things easier.

4. Shift.

You have more clarity, more capacity, and a way forward.

Your business runs with less friction. Your home supports you instead of overwhelming you. Your days have a little more breathing room. And the energy you've been spending on managing the chaos can go toward the things that matter to you.

That's Simplify & Shift.

Hi! I'm Rachel.

I'm a systems thinker, problem solver, and practical human who genuinely loves figuring out how things can work better.

For more than 15 years, I've worked across operations, project management, client experience, administration, events, small businesses, and organizational systems. I've seen firsthand how quickly work and life can become more complicated than the systems supporting them.

I help untangle the busy, the cluttered, and the chaotic—whether that's happening in your business, your home, or somewhere in between.

I'll help you figure out what's not working, simplify the process, and create systems that actually fit the way you live and work.

Because simple systems create more than efficiency.

They create space.

Space to breathe. Space to think. Space to focus. And space for what matters most.

  • "I've worked with Rachel in a number of capacities for a few years now, and am consistently impressed by her ability to bring clarity and simplicity to my operational processes.  She recently implemented controls and automation for my email inbox which has saved me multiple hours every week, which significantly reduced my stress level.  She has also overseen the development and documentation of operations and administration processes, which have been instrumental in clarifying and streamlining our daily work.  Rachel is an excellent communicator, a consummate professional, and has brought a new perspective to my business that was greatly needed as we have scaled over the past 3 years.  I would highly recommend her services to any organization looking to simplify, declutter, or optimize operations." • “After several months of being in between homes, with our belongings in multiple storage units, I knew we would need help to settle in to our new home! Hiring Rachel was better than any investment we made in our home! In three days our kitchen, pantry and laundry room were so well organized I have not had to redo anything! Even better, my sense of overwhelm was reduced significantly and I felt immediately settled in our house!

Rachel’s help has also been invaluable with our garage and additional storage items. She has kindly taken anything unwanted to share with the circular economy. She brings clarity and ease to each task. Hiring Rachel is a gift that continues to add value even after the project is over!”

  • “I highly recommend Rachel. She does a fantastic job of editing, packing and helping my clients streamline and get their house ready to sell. She is a great listener and very compassionate with the large transition of moving and going through all of your belongings. My clients have raved about her and hired her to do work for them long after our house prep is finished. She is a wizard at selling on Facebook Marketplace, getting items back into the Circular Economy, and more than pays for herself when I include her as a service I offer my clients. She is an asset and a valued team member of my real estate business.”

  • “Life plans changed quickly in our lives causing a move of my mother in law to assisted living and the sale of our two houses and a 600 acre farm in England.

Rachel to the rescue!! She completed the packing and sorting with a smile on her face!

The moral of this story …. All was well thanks to Rachel! She arrived and helped us during this otherwise stressful transition.

Rachel is kind, thoughtful and hardworking. Please give her a call …. You won’t regret it.”

  • “We knew we could exhale after meeting Rachel. She has the ability to gently take over the process of moving effectively and efficiently so we could concentrate on our new adventure. A list was created, and the work was done in a timely manner. We had the utmost confidence that our treasures would be handled with care. We could not have done this process without Rachel’s ability to expedite our move. We greatly appreciate what she has done for us!”

    Nancy B.

  • "Big SHOUT OUT to Rachel! Without her help, amazing organizational skills and the ability to take the ball and independently run with it, the amazing transformation we saw at my home for sale would not have been possible!"
